0riginally hailling from Mexico, I Carlos Paredes Reyes came to the United States in 1999 determined to make an statement in the fashion world.
As a child I often had this recurring dream about being in the desert surrounded by nothing but sand, and unclothe mannequins reaching out for me.
I would run as fast as I could to get away from them and find a safe place to hide, but out of nowhere rolls of fabric appeared. I decided that the rolls of fabric would be the perfect place to hide. Suddenly I realized utter silence. When I emerged from the fabrics, all of the mannequins were fully dressed in the most beautiful clothes of any and every style or design imaginable.
To this day I believe that, that is where my love for fashion was born. Here are some entries of things I been involved with since coming to Charlotte.
In 2010 I held my first fashion show, showcasing 20 designs that entailed the casual looks.
in 2011 I had a second fashion show called "UNA NOCHE DE GALA EN CHARLOTTE" that showcased 23 designs for men and women, evening gowns and special event wear.
In 2012 I was invited to showcase a collection of 20 designs of evening wear for the representation of the Latino community in the CHARLOTTE INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK.
I was also invited to support a fashion show called PINK SOLES, a charity event that support the breast cancer research in which too took place in 2012.
In 2013 I participated in the Charlotte Fashion Gilt, Style Week, and CIFW.
in 2013 one of my designs was publicized in Beau NU magazine by photographer Zach Alston.
In 2014 my designs were also published in Anolie Magazine New York, Les Dames a Chapeaux (The Ladies in hats)

In 2015 published as well in Ryze-Up Magazine, in a few editions, Photography by Shawn Nguyen
